About

Keith Hardisty

Independent Shopify consultant and Shopify Partner based in Austin, Texas. I help brands build, optimize, and grow commerce on Shopify—with a focus on operationally complex models: wholesale, B2B, hybrid DTC, and teams where the storefront has to match how the business really sells.

Background & approach

My work sits at the intersection of commerce strategy, Shopify architecture, and execution—helping leadership and ecommerce teams make defensible decisions when catalogs, channels, and integrations collide. That includes store audits, conversion and journey work, SEO and growth foundations, development and integrations, migrations, and ongoing advisory when you need a senior voice without adding headcount.

Engagements have spanned the United States, Belgium, and Japan (remote-first delivery from Austin). Sector focus has centered on industrial manufacturers, construction, home goods, and apparel & CPG—categories where specs, fulfillment, and account complexity show up in the storefront, not only on the marketing site.

What I optimize for

  • Clarity over noise — Diagnosis before tactics; tradeoffs stated in plain language.
  • Systems that feel obvious in use — Automations and flows set up so the right behavior is the easy behavior—paper only where it prevents drift or meets compliance.
  • Commercial reality — Fulfillment, finance, and support constraints treated as first-class inputs, not afterthoughts.

What I am not

Not a volume agency bench. Not a cheerleader for every app or rebuild. If the right move is smaller scope, tighter data, or saying no to a bad initiative, that is the recommendation.

Principles

These are non-negotiables for how I take on work. If you need a partner who optimizes for activity volume over outcomes, we are likely not a fit.

  • Evidence before roadmap—no vanity rebuilds.
  • Prioritization is the product—everything cannot be P0.
  • Operators should feel the fix in their day—clean flows and automation, not new binders.
  • B2B and wholesale belong on Standard or Plus—tier follows constraints, not the other way around.

Engagements

Work is scoped by outcome: audits, defined projects, fractional advisory, and hands-on implementation when it makes sense. Apply with context—stack, goals, and constraints—and you will get a direct answer on fit.

Next step

If this profile matches what you need on Shopify, the door is a structured application—not a generic contact form.
